2-minute Everyday Eyes

Contrary to popular beliefs, the first thing a man notices is a women's eyes. For that everyday look that will give your eyes a pop, make sure you follow a few steps.

Mascara and Eyeliner: Even if you don't have time in the morning, throwing on mascara and a liner makes the biggest difference in the shortest amount of time.
Eyeliner should be placed on the top of the eye if you want a larger bolder look. Place the liner on the bottom if you want your eyes to look more sultry (be aware that this closes the eye and can make them appear smaller).

Eyeshadow: As for Eyeshadow, throw a light-colored (even shimmery) eyeshadow on the lid right above your eye. Grab a color that is complimentary to your skin, either pinkish or golden. This will give your eyes a pop and open them up.

These are a few quick tips to keep you looking flawless and natural.

Check back for a more detailed tutorial on the Smokey Eye next week!

Flawless and Natural Foundation

Many times called "coverup" or "base," foundation is the quickest way in creating a flawless look...the natural look on the other hand takes a little more thought.

Foundation Formulation: Foundation can come in Liquid, Cream, and Powder form. Which ones right for you? It depends largely on your skin type.
For example: Powder foundations can look noticeable and caky on dry skin.
Powder is already dry anyway. So, think of placing dry powder on dry skin...desert disaster! Dry skin should stick with something more moisturizing, such as liquids. Oily skin would do well with powder since the foundation will soak up those oils and set very nicely. Below is a general guideline for foundations depending on your skin type:

Oily Skin - Powder or oil-free liquids
Dry Skin - Liquid or Cream
Combination - Cream to Powder

In general, certain Foundation Formulations cover better than others. Liquids usually have a fuller coverage than powders. Does this mean that Oily skin are not allowed to use a full-coverage Liquid? Or dry skin can not use a powder? No, we would just have to prepare the skin with a proper moisturizer or primer.
